I haven’t written in awhile.  So I posted some more quotes and pictures.  I love reading quotes (especially when you find a good one!)  I’ve got a huge list of ideas/quotes that I want to turn into songs.  But it’s summer, and I’m feeling lazy.  Ha.  Goal: write a song a week.  At least.  Is it gonna happen?  Probably not.  Eh.  And I’m gonna stop ramblingggggggggggggggggg…………….  Now.

Hey, y’all!  NEW SONG YAY!  I entered the DRIVE4COPD songwriting contest in the hopes of maybe possibly hopefully playing at CMA Fest this June.  Maybe possibly could stalk Reba while I’m there.  May bring my binoculars and reconaissance gear if I win.  It’s whatevs.  Anyway, the theme of the song had to support COPD awareness, which is a lung disease.  This is a cause that hits close to home for me because my grandmother has this disease and uses an oxygen tank to help her breathe.  Thanks to great physicians and improved treatment options, we can inhale a little easier. Now everyone has the opportunity to live life to the fullest and drive in the fast lane.

 So somehow I wound up on Xanga reading quotes.  And some of them are REALLY good.  I love good quotes.  Good quotes make you think about yourself and your life and where you’re at and where you’re going and who you are and who you’re not.  Usually after I piddle around reading quotes, I’m inspired to write a song.  It just happens.  Because I’m lame and sentimental and I think about things WAY too much.  I overanalyze and overthink things and situations and people and then put it to music.  A lot of songs that I’ve already written were inspired by something someone told me in a conversation or a quote I read online.  It’s 12:08 in the morning right now, and I don’t think my family would appreciate me being inspired at this hour.  So I posted some of my finds instead.  I hope y’all like ‘em as much as I did!  Maybe they’ll inspire you, too.

My absolute FAVORITE love story of all time is The Notebook.  Hands down.  It’s so touching/romantic/heart-warming.  I bawled my eyes out watching it.  Naturally.  For my birthday one year, my mom even got me a huge picture of Noah & Allie kissing in the rain that is currently hanging above my bed [♥]  I started looking into Nicholas Sparks’ other stories and found that they are all incredible and inspiring.  His writing is perfection.  I think Nicholas Sparks is the reason why people fall in love.  So I wrote a song about his love stories.

Okay, okay, I’ll tell you.  He saw the song and tweeted me about it!  How wicked is that?  I asked him to use the song in one of his upcoming movies.  No word so far.  But that never stops me.  I’ll keep y’all posted.
